The Fraser Valley Baseball academy would like our parents and players to know that our very
own Corey Eckstein will be moving on to work in the Ontario Blue Jays organization as of
September 2020 in the role of Director of Player Personnel.
As you all know Corey has spent the last 15 years building our program into what it is today. He has been an integral part of leading our success both on and off the field and in this spirit
together with Brian Finnie created the Fraser Valley Baseball Academy last year to create more growth opportunity for baseball in the Fraser Valley.
President, Brian Finnie, "As an organization we will miss him but are happy for him and his
family. We are most excited for the opportunity this move brings to bridge the gap between
baseball in BC and Ontario and look forward to our continued relationship with Corey in the
coming seasons. I’m proud to employ the best coaches in Canada and with our recent addition of Courtney Gill in an oversight role I’m confident we won’t miss a step. We are looking forward to another successful season of baseball in the Fraser Valley."
As Corey will start and finish the 2020 season with our program there will be no immediate
coaching changes made. We are currently exploring our options on a suitable replacement for Corey while looking at how our current staff can be better utilized to ensure minimal disruption to our day to day operation.
